Process Planning for Production Engineering

Quotations are generated from the process plans by applying plant and material costs with commercial factors and batch sizes. The complex ralationships of batch quantity, minimum order value, stock

Metal Cutting technology

Speeds Feeds Depth of cut Hardness Surface finish

Metal Forming - Specialist processes - Hand operations

Process times are built from standards that reflect how your plant operates and the workability of the materials.

The Process plans are sequences of operation each having a Set time and Run time.

Routings output as Work instructions - Shopfloor Documentation - Loading Capacity planning requirements to predict achievable deliveries.

Profile Cutting Technology to fit your profile.

Shape Nesting for Profiling

Maximises material utilisation

Developed to make NC profile cutting quick, simple and efficient..

Getting the most from machine and materials using Oxy-acetylene, Plasma, Laser, Water-jet, in fact any profile cutting technology.

You can import CAD drawings, layout parts on the rectangle or remnant, evaluate the efficiency of your nest with % utilisation, post process for a variety of cutting machines and control units, issue work to the job queue, print a graphical image of the nest with multiple head settings withinventory list and then DNC download the cutting instructions to the machine tool.

CAD formats include DXF drawings from any AutoCAD like drafting system or DSTV files from construction industry drawing packages.

ESTIM is designed for use from initial enquiry to dispatch, dramatically reduces estimation time and ensures accurate, consistent and achievable quotations and work schedules thus contributing to overall profit and customer satisfaction.

Computerised Estimating and Process Planning

ESTIM can operate independently or work as part of a fully production control system.

ESTIM is a detailed planning tool for predicting manufacturing times and costs for Production and Mechanical Engineering, producing Standard times and Basic minute values for all engineering processes. Produce quotations, tenders, estimates and bids for anything from a simple part to a complete assembly

Machining, Assembly, Aerospace, Automotive, Sub contract, Sheetmetal, Fabrication.

The practical solution to the problems of fitting parts on stock material and efficiently cutting them out, carefully taking into account heat distribution, component handling, operator convenience, use of consumables and cutting time.

Simple to use but comprehensive, ShapeNest is a very practical solution to profile nesting.

Manufacturing analysis tells you the % utilisation and the quanities of the parts on the plate then it can be passed to Excel for more calculations or manufacturing history.

Picross are using ESTIM after 19 years

It's good to talk to a customer you supplied 19 years ago and find him as happy with the system now as he was then, especially considering his business has expanded beyond all recognition. David Patfield Managing Director of Picross Engineering
( www.picross-eng.com ) uses ESTIM and its Shop Floor documentation every day, adding data relating to speeds and feeds of new material and new manufacturing plant as his company's technology grows. The system makes it easy for him to evaluate Cost Engineering for all his manufacturing contracts and maintain a profitable, and full order book. David has found it better to keep specialist systems for accounts, planning and quality control separate, selecting them on their merits, rather than have a single system which would not be as good in each area.
